At Shreenika, we believe the future of chemical manufacturing belongs to flexible, nature-inspired innovation. We combine biocatalysis, fermentation, and green chemistry to create modern and sustainable production pathways that leave a minimal environmental footprint—all while lowering costs for our partners and customers. Our three technologies are described in more detail below.
Direct fermentation – using our proprietary microbial strains, we transform simple sugars or other renewable feedstocks through a process much like brewing. Fermentation is remarkably scalable and has incredible flexibility to manufacture a broad range of bio products. One great example is our blue pigment, made directly from sugar through fermentation as a replacement for synthetic blues.
Biocatalysis – Our proprietary biocatalysis platform is ideally suited for transformation of chemicals at very high yields. Our novel platform outperforms traditional solution phase biocatalysis by 10-100-fold and bypasses solubility limitations of enzyme transformations.
Green chemistry – In partnership with Samnan Chemicals, we can make virtually any chemical. Biotechnology is sometimes limited by the scope of reactions found in nature, so we work with a leader in sustainable synthesis to access all necessary chemistry. Our collaboration with Samnan Chemicals allows us to blend bio-based chemistries and synthetic chemistry seamlessly to build any molecule.
